September 2011 Update

The search for Senior Contract Managers continues.  The Vogal Group is looking to expand upon the current number of Contract Managers especially in the electrical field.

The Vogal Group is pleased to announce the successful completion of a major refurbishment project for an international client within the food processing sector.  The project involved high risk works during a twenty four hour, five day/night shifts over a five month period.  The works were completed to schedule, within budget and accident/incident free.  Further refurbishment/installation projects within the newspaper printing sector and automotive industries have also been successfully completed emphasising the many and varied sectors that the Vogal Group works within.

The company Chairman and an electrical Director have recently visited Holland to cement a working relationship with a multi national company.

For the eighteenth consecutive month, Vogal is pleased to record another month without a lost time accident.  Well done to all concerned.

Some of the above success can be attributed to the ongoing training programmes that we are undertaking.  Senior Supervisor training is ongoing with MEWP, abrasive wheel and aluminium scaffold tower courses being undertaken and completed at the Group’s dedicated Training Centre on the outskirts of Peterborough.

Vogal Industrial Training have started 20 new apprentices for a range of local companies with a further seven due to start later in September.  They are also expanding the number of companies that they deliver commercial training for and in the last month alone, added 15 new client companies.

In an effort to catch the eye of future apprentices, and as part of our commitment to young people in our communities, Vogal Industrial Training is sponsoring the Ryhall United Under 12 Football team for the next two years.  The team play in the Peterborough and District Junior Football League and their new kit bears the Vogal Training logo and strap line, “Working together to achieve”.  It appears to have worked as they won their opening league game 7 – 0 against March Juniors on Sunday 4 September 2011.
