Press Release December 2018
Press release December 2018
It’s that time of year again where we can happily reflect on the previous 12 months at Vogal.
This year just seems to have flown by we have ventured to “pastures new” successfully engaging with a number of new client’s whilst continuing to develop and support our existing customers.
Year on year we have continued to employ additional staff to support the increased works that we have undertaken.
This now includes a further addition to our team , Kevin Eastwood joined us to undertake mechanical and electrical contract management works.
We wish him well and are confident that he will play a very significant role in the further development of our company
Janice Bland our receptionist and general assistant to all, has taken early retirement to look after her granddaughter. A task we know she has been looking forward to for some time. We wish her well in her new child minding role and thank her for her support over the past few years .
Donna Wilson has recently taken the role of receptionist and we wish her well in this demanding position.
Still I n the theme of recruitment, I am pleased to say that Vogal Industrial Training has offered ten candidates a position on the latest joint ECITB/Vogal pre apprenticeship scheme / program commencing January 2019. This programme prepares the candidates for engineering in general by completing the Level 2 qualification of Performing Engineering Operations at our dedicated training Centre in Ailsworth.
On successful completion of their qualifications, Vogal then offer employment to them starting with us as second year apprentices This training program has over the last few years proven to be very beneficial to both our trainees and company alike.
Whilst on the subject of the Training Centre, I can confirm that we have enjoyed an increased number of apprentices being enrolled along with increases in corporate training courses that have been completed this year ensuring the centres highly successful performance ,security and continued development .
Our company’s health and safety record remains second to none. This year has been a challenge health and safety wise due to the number of new and diverse industry’s and works that we have undertaken. This includes thousands of man hours completed without incident on a number of different CDM jobs in often harsh environments undertaking high risk activities. Well done to everyone , long may this continue
Vogal Project Management a recent expansion of the services we have been able to offer continue to expand their own client base. The team at VPM have successfully completed high value projects as Principal Contractors as well as in project management mainly on the UK mainland , they are now looking forward to further expansion over the next few years.
2019 will bring many challenges especially with the prospect of works in Europe and beyond, we now look forward with relish to those challengers and will look to further develop our existing client base whilst carefully expanding into new markets
I would now like to pass on my sincerest gratitude and best wishes for a very merry Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year to all our , clients, employees , friends and their families.
Let’s make 2019 a year to remember for all the right reasons
Ben Atkins.
