Vogal Group’s electrical engineer apprentice, Luke Jarvis, is a finalist in the Peterborough Telegraph Apprentice Awards in the Advanced Apprentice of the Year category.

Advanced Apprentice Finalist

25 August 2025

Luke Jarvis is officially a finalist in this year’s Peterborough Telegraph Apprentice Awards. He has been shortlisted in the Advanced Apprentice of the Year category. This award celebrates individuals who demonstrate exceptional achievement and contribution within their company through their Advanced Apprenticeships

Luke is a Level 3 electrotechnical apprentice with Vogal Group and Boston College. He is hardworking, determined, helpful to his colleagues and shows great maturity when overcoming engineering challenges.

He chose an apprenticeship because he believes it is the most effective way for him to train. He tells us he learns better working practically on the tools rather than in a classroom setting alone. As an electrical apprentice he is involved in maintaining, installing and troubleshooting industrial and commercial electrical equipment. He also works on electronic control systems and repairs parts of electrical systems.

The award evening is in September, and we wish Luke all the best and good luck to all the finalists!
