Meet the Vogal Group Team: Karen Lloyd

Founded in 1984, Vogal Group has grown into the strong, family-run business it is today. Karen has been part of that journey since 1990, beginning her career as a receptionist. She subsequently progressed through different roles in the business, and worked in multiple departments, including purchasing. Karen’s current role is PA to the Chairman and Managing Director and labour co-ordinator. Her deep understanding of the company’s operations and plays a crucial role in supporting its continued success.

Karen is absolutely essential to the Vogal Group apprenticeship scheme. She is the focal point for new talent from their first interview through to induction. Her hands-on involvement ensures every apprentice feels welcomed, supported and ready to succeed from day one. She is proud of the business her father built and is passionate about maintaining the strong family values and positive culture that define Vogal Group. Beyond her formal responsibilities, she organises charitable initiatives and plays an important role in keeping office morale high. She regularly provides cakes and biscuits for the team to enjoy.

Outside the office, her passion for high performance continues in the world of motorsport. She proudly supports her husband, who works as a crew chief at KTM RACING, and her children, Frank Bird and Jordan Bird, as they lead the highly successful PBM Racing Team Limited, continuing a family tradition built on dedication, teamwork and elite performance.
