New Electrical Apprentice
15 February 2026
As we say goodbye to National Apprenticeship Week for 2026, we say hello to new Vogal Group starter Billy Mason. He went to the Sir Harry Smith Community College in Whittlesey then started his level 2 electrical course at Peterborough College. After his first year he joined a local electrical engineering company. He has had to deal with some turbulence because of redundancy but has steadfastly managed to keep his studies going and is now in his 4th year at college.
Billy’s near-term aspiration is to become a fully qualified industrial and commercial electrician and improve his skills further. He is shown pulling out old electrical cable, replacing a trunking lid back on, and removing old tray.
Away from work his hobbies are riding, racing motocross and playing golf.
“I’ve worked with Billy for a while now, having known him from his previous employer, and I’m very happy with him. His attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn have been excellent, and he’s a great apprentice to have on the team.”
