Numplumz Mountain Bike Marathon

Vogal Group sponsor the Numplumz mountain bike race team. They organise an annual mountain bike marathon, which is a non-competitive off road sportive. Riders have the choice of 50k or 100k distances with 80% off road on bridleways and green lanes.

This year’s event recently took place with 130 riders taking part. They raised £2800 which has been split between two charities: Jonnys happy place (a mental health drop-In Centre in Kettering) and the Northants Air Ambulance.

A small team of 18 team members and the odd partner joined together to organise, run and clear up after the day. They had 2 feed stops with the majority of the food supplied by Tesco Wellingborough and a generous donation from the MD of KLM Taxis in Kettering. The club received fantastic feedback, after the event, with riders saying it was their favourite day out. Some rode with their speedy friends to get round as fast as possible, whilst others chilled with family members and took in the amazing country side. All enjoyed a burger and a pint at the end, that was included in their entry money.
