As Commercial Manager, Trevor King works at the intersection of our Contract Managers and our customers. Leveraging over 25 years of experience in accountancy, project management, and procurement within the industrial and commercial M&E sectors, he ensures every project is built upon a resilient commercial foundation.
Trevor has developed and leads a bespoke, in-house, training programme designed to sharpen the commercial acumen of our Contract Managers. This training bridges the gap between technical execution and commercial perception, ensuring our teams are risk-aware and capable of mitigating project-specific liabilities without being risk-averse.
Training Modules Overview:
✏️ Contract Position Awareness in Negotiation: Explores personal profiles and the psychological impact of communication, helping managers understand how their words and attitudes are perceived by stakeholders. Provides a toolkit for advancing proposals and managing feedback, focused on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes that lead to contract awards.
✏️ Legal Understanding: Utilises case law and precedent to translate legal shifts into robust contractual frameworks. This module emphasises managing business, moral, and legal relationships to resolve differences before they escalate into conflict.
✏️ Various Engineering Style Contracts: Defines the contract as a "roadmap" for business success. It covers the transformation of mutual promises into enforceable rules, including obligations, critical risk management, and final wording inclusions.
