Health & Safety Statement of Intent

Vogal Group are fully committed to safeguarding the health, safety, and welfare of our employees, customers, visitors and contractors. This embraces anyone else who may be affected by our operations. We believe that promoting and continually improving health and safety is a shared responsibility across all levels of the organisation. The Board of Directors provides full support and commitment to the Vogal Group health and safety Policy. It is regularly monitored for effectiveness and reviewed in response to significant legislative, operational, or organisational changes. This ensures it remains relevant and effective. Our core principle is that high standards of health and safety will always take precedence over commercial gain. In line with this commitment, Vogal Group will:

  • Strive for continuous improvement in health and safety performance across all areas of the business.
  • Establish and maintain effective arrangements for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and review of the Vogal Group health and safety Policy.
  • Ensure robust systems are in place for the effective communication of health and safety matters across the company.
  • Provide all employees with the necessary information, instruction, and training to perform their roles safely and competently. We place emphasis on them recognising their responsibility for the safety of themselves and others.
  • Allocate sufficient resources, including time, personnel, equipment, and financial investment, to support safe working practices and health and safety initiatives.
  • Integrate health and safety considerations into all management and decision-making processes and ensure these are communicated to employees.
  • Maintain transparent systems for the reporting and investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses. These will be used as learning opportunities to prevent recurrence and promote a culture of openness, without placing unfair blame on individuals.
  • Develop and maintain safe systems of work for all tasks, equipment, and plant used by employees and others affected by our activities.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and supply chain partners to ensure they meet and uphold our health and safety expectations.
  • Identify hazards and carry out thorough risk assessments for all work, ensuring appropriate and proportionate control measures are implemented and regularly reviewed.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders and external authorities as necessary to fulfil our statutory health and safety obligations.
  • Ensure workplaces under our control are safe, with appropriate welfare facilities provided and maintained at all times.
